What is Word of Life Florida?
Word of Life Florida is a Retreat Center, Youth Camp and Bible Institute that exists to point people to Jesus Christ. Located just 30 minutes north of Tampa, our beautiful 500 acre property is the perfect place to get away and grow spiritually alongside hundreds of other people who share your faith. We operate both summer and winter camps for students ages 6-18, a one-year fully accredited Bible Institute, a hotel and facilities for hosting your group's next retreat, and even an RV Park right here on our property. History
Word of Life Florida opened in 1990 here in Hudson, FL. But the story of Word of Life began even earlier through the vision of Jack Wyrtzen and Harry Bollback. Jack founded Word of Life Fellowship in 1940 as an outgrowth of a Bible study. Over the next 75 years, Word of Life added camps, conference centers, Bible Institutes, and church youth ministries spanning 70 countries. Our 1400+ missionaries continue to reach the next generation for Christ.

We believe the Scriptures are the source and foundation for all Christian ministry. At each of our camps, retreats, and events we preach the Bible without apology.
EVANGELISM
We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by boldly proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and directly challenging people to respond in faith.
YOUTH
Our purpose is to reach youth whose culture is always changing with biblical truth that never changes. We seek to be both biblical and relevant and keep the two in balance.
